The Networked Digital Library Award for Technologically Innovative Dissertations and Theses

The Networked Digital Library of Electronic Theses and Dissertations offers awards for the most technologically innovative electronic dissertation. To see a list of recent award winners, see the NDLTD site!

University Writing Awards for 2007-2008

The University Writing Committee is seeking nominations of student writing from faculty for this year’s University Writing Awards.

Nominations will be welcomed for the following categories:

  • Undergraduate Poetry ($500)
  • Undergraduate Short Story ($500)
  • Undergraduate Essay ($500)
  • Graduate Poetry ($750)
  • Graduate Short Story ($750)
  • Graduate Essay ($750)

All submissions must be accompanied by the Form of Nomination and signed by the nominating faculty member. Guidelines are as follows:

  • The pieces submitted must have been written between Fall 2007 and Spring 2008.
  • Students must have been enrolled full-time or part-time during the 2007 - 2008 academic year.
  • Submissions may be as short as a single page and as long as 30 pages in each category.
  • Students may submit in more than one category.
  • All work must be double spaced, with 12 point font, 1 inch margins, page numbers in upper right-hand corner with the student’s name and the title (optional) of each work on a separate Name and Title page.
  • Each submission must be accompanied by the Form of Nomination.
  • Students must own copyright of their work prior to submission.
  • Students must submit one hard copy of each submission to Wooten 162 (Faculty Senate Office) by 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 25.

Winners will be presented their awards in person by Provost Wendy Wilkins at 1:00 p.m. on April 30, 2008 at the Spring Awards Ceremony.
