Equity and Diversity

The University of North Texas is committed to an educational and work environment free of discrimination, sexual harassment and intimidation. Pursuing these same ends, the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies also seeks to foster an unpretentious and accepting atmosphere welcoming to anyone who will strive to achieve his or her personal best. In addition, the graduate school has also taken steps to make sure that all groups are represented appropriately on campus. To this end, UNT is currently a participating university member of Project 1000 and is seeking membership in the Western Name Exchange (see, for example, the WSE page of the University of Washington). These organizations assist underrepresented students in applying to graduate schools.
